2012 Dodge Challenger Yellow Jacket SRT8 392 HEMI

In 1970, Dodge created a show car called the "Yellow Jacket."  Based on a 1970 Challenger Convertible, the car was painted in pearlescent Honey Gold and powered by a 426 cubic inch Hemi V-8.

For this year's Los Angeles Auto Show, Dodge is reviving the Yellow Jacket name and using it on a 2012 Challenger SRT8 392.  Unlike the previous Yellow Jacket, which was only a one-off show car, the modern version will see limited production.  

Starting with a 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 HEMI, the Yellow Jacker gets Stinger Yellow paint, a black grille surround, black body-side gloss striping with the Yellow Jacker logo and unique SRT five-spoke, 20-inch wheels with black trim. 

Inside, Yellow Jacket cars come with Stinger Yellow accented leather seats, an embroidered Yellow Jacket logo and silver interior stitching.  The driver's seat features lumbar support and seat position, memory, and a heated steering wheel ensures four-season comfort.  

Under the Yellow Jacket's hood is Dodge's 6.4-liter (392 cubic inch) HEMI V-8, good for 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.  That's enough to propel the Challenger SRT8 392 from 0-60 mph in less than five seconds, with the quarter mile flashing by in the mid-to-high twelve second range.

 


2012 Jeep grand cherokee SRT8

















The most powerful Jeep vehicle ever, the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 runs from 0-60 MPH in 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 155 MPH and brakes from 60-0 MPH in 116 feet, for an outstanding driving experience in all conditions.  


An active intake manifold and high-lift camshaft with cam phasing delivers maximum low-end torque while optimizing high-end power across a wider and improved RPM band.  Ninety percent of peak torque is available between 2,800 and 6,000 RPM, for improved straight-line performance.  


The refined, luxurious interior takes on a performance feel in SRT8 form with an all-new, leather-wrapped, heated steering wheel with a unique rim section and flattened bottom surface evoking a race-inspired cockpit showcasing the SRT logo.  Standard paddle shift controls flank both sides of the new contoured palm rests with Vehicle Electronic Information Center controls from the horizontal spokes on the steering wheel. 


 

2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8



The new 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8, the highest-performing model ever in Chrysler's lineup, boasts a powerful 6.4-liter HEMI V8 punch, massive Brembo brakes, lightweight forged wheels, countless hours of suspension tuning and a slew of cosmetic goodies.  It is whiteout a question, a very impressive sport sedan.

From the outside, the Chrysler 300 SRT8 is distinguished by its hal-inch lower ride height, body color side still cladding and standard 20-inch wheels.  The front fascia features upper and lower frills surrounds in black chrome and LED daytime running lights.  Out back, the bumper cap sports twin four-inch exhaust pipes and there is a functional deckled spoiler garnishing the trunk.

The interior starts with a leather-wrapped, heated SRT steering wheel with metal paddle shifters on each side.  Integrated into the dashboard is genuine carbon fiber trim, gloss black surrounds and chrome accents.  The standard sports seats, upholstered in Alcantara and leather, are heated and ventilated and feature the SRT logo emblazoned on the setback.  The door panels mirror a similar treatment.  Underfoot, the accelerator and brake pedals are metal with small rubber nubs for better traction.
